The Hamilton Review of Books (est. 2016), a biannual literary journal featuring works by Canadian and international voices, is inviting Canadian writers to submit reviews and essays for forthcoming issues.
Reviews must contain constructive criticism about the book and include quotations that show the author’s writing style.
Personal essays should be on literary subjects. Writers are encouraged to connect with a certain book’s message as a creative spark to construct an essay combining original muse and experience.
Word length: 500-750 words per review; 1500-5K words per essay.
Payment: $50 per review; $75 per essay.
Selected work will appear both in print and online.
