Tales to Terrify, a volunteer-operated fan podcast, has opened a one-month reading period to receive original long-form stories of horror, dark fantasy, and other terrifying fiction.
The editors are seeking stories up to 10,000 words long.
Writers have the creative freedom to push the boundaries and diversity of the horror genre as long as their stories are well-developed and well-written. The editors welcome common tropes and monsters, as well as blood, sex and carnage–anything to scare and disturb readers.
Word length: 2K-10K words per story.
Token payment: $50/story.
Deadline: August 31, 2017. Read submission guidelines at Tales to Terrify’s website.
