Strange Horizons, an award-winning speculative literary ezine, is accepting poetry for future issues. The weekly zine showcases dynamic sci-fi, fantasy, horror and slipstream from emerging and experienced writers and poets.
Poets with diverse perspectives and backgrounds are encouraged to submit their best work. Poems are literary and speculative in nature and can contain elements of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and slipstream.
The editors enjoy modern, progressive poems that push the boundaries of reality and fantasy, particularly fantastical tales about human and nonhuman experiences, illusions and actuality, past and future, and the here-and-now and otherwhere-and-elsewhen. They also will review confessional and hypertext poetry.
Payment is $40/poem, regardless of length.
Reading period is open until further notice.
The following Poetry Editors will be reviewing submissions:
September – December 2017: A.J. Odasso
January – April 2018: Romie Stott
May – August 2018: Sonya Taaffe
