The editors of Pulp Literature magazine have opened a limited reading period to curate short fiction stories for forthcoming issues. The reading period is open now and will close December 5th. (The editors review poetry, graphic stories and artwork year-round.)
The quarterly, digest-sized magazine not only publishes pulp fiction, but also a handful of other genres, including sci-fi, fantasy, romance, mystery, thriller, literary, etc.
The editors invite both emerging and established writers to submit stories with appealing prose, introspective themes, and dynamic and elaborate characters. Marginalized, underrepresented, and diverse writers are encouraged to submit their best work.
Word length: the editors prefer stories up to 5K words, but they will also consider longer forms of fiction.
Payment: 7 cents/word (up to 7K words); $25 – $50 for poetry.
Deadline: December 5, 2017.
