MOREL magazine (est. 2015), an online creative arts publication that celebrates Southwestern Ontario, is seeking fiction stories for the November 2017 issue. The publication’s purpose is to educate and direct critical readers about community-defining concerns, people, moments and experiences, and to offer a gathering place for analysis as well as a showcase for the region’s creative arts.
During this time the editors are reviewing fiction stories that explore the breathtaking and diverse province of Southwestern Ontario.
The publication has different reading periods for poetry and essays.
Writers can submit engaging fiction in any genre, but writers must either come from Southwestern Ontario or write about a subject that specifically matches the region.
Work must be original and unpublished. No simultaneous submissions allowed.
Word length: under 8K words per story.
Token payment: $25 per story.
