Milkweed Editions Calls for Poetry Chapbook Submissions

Milkweed Editions, a nonprofit publisher of traditional and experimental literature, has opened a special reading period to curate poetry manuscripts from published and unpublished authors.

Submit your poetry to Milkweed EditionsThis year the imprint intends to find more stories that explore nature and the environment, a heartfelt sense of place, and/or the connections between human and natural communities.

The editors are open to single-author collections of poetry. Manuscripts must be no less than 60 pages long. Writers are asked to submit a query letter along with the complete collection.

Milkweed Editions publishes approx. 15-20 books each year, and currently has more than 350 titles in print. The company was established in 1980 and has a reputation of publishing trendsetting literary works by award-winning authors. Daniel Slager serves as Publisher and CEO.

Deadline: October 31, 2017 or sooner when the publisher has reached a submission quota.
