LitMag, a new literary journal that debuted in Spring 2017, has opened another reading period to solicit new forms of poetry, fiction and nonfiction. Seasoned, emerging, and unknown but talented writers are encouraged to submit their best unpublished works.
LitMag’s guidelines are simple: “We seek work that moves and amazes us. We are drawn to big minds and large hearts.”
Word length: up to 15K words per story for the print edition; or up to 4K words for the online edition. Submit one story or essay or up to five poems per submission.
Payment: (for print) $1,000 for fiction story or nonfiction essay; $250 per poem or very (very) short story; (for online) $250 per published work. Payment is issued upon acceptance.
LitMag, the print edition, is perfect-bound, stitched, and described as “a beautiful object.” Marc Berley, former editor of The Columbia Review, serves as Editor-in-Chief. His stories have been published in The Iowa Review, Shenandoah, Southwest Review and other literary markets.
