Liminal, a new online fiction magazine, has reopened its reading period and is now accepting both poetry and fiction stories until from emerging, professional, and diverse writers.
In the fiction category, the editors are open to most themes and sub-genres, but especially like weird fiction, magical realism, soft science fiction, and stories that push the boundaries between genres. A typical Liminal story is compelling enough to make the reader remember it and conjure emotion.
In the poetry category, the editors prefer poems with perceptive imagery and meticulous language. Poets can use fantastical or imaginative elements if needed.
Length: up to 10K words for fiction stories; any line count for poetry.
Payment: 6 cents/word for stories; $50 per poem.
Reading period ends January 15, 2017. Read updated submission guidelines at Liminal’s website.
