Lazy Fascist Review, a journal of experimental fiction stories published biannually by Eraserhead Press, is planning a special “Lovecraftiana”-themed issue, pairing the Bizarro genre with the themes commonly used in Mythos fiction.
Molly Tanzer, a professional writer of literary horror and fantasy, is serving as Guest Editor. She is seeking Lovecraft-inspired stories embedded in any time period that broaden Lovecraftiana themes while preserving its emphasis on cosmic horror, the monstrous, the fear of surrendering, and “weirdness” in general. She is open to new twists on old themes as well as original tales involving characters, settings, and themes based on H.P. Lovecraft’s compendium of works.
Word length: 2-7K words per story.
Payment: $75 per story.
Reading period closes July 1, 2015. Learn how to submit here.
