Lunch Ticket, a biannual literary journal published by MFA students and faculty of Antioch University, welcomes marginalized and underrepresented writers to enter this year’s Diana Woods Memorial Award in Creative Nonfiction.
Established in 2012 to honor Diana’s memory and the Los Angeles MFA community, Antioch University sponsors the award twice yearly: Summer/Fall and Winter/Spring. A special guest judge picks one finalist who has written the best work of creative nonfiction. Lunch Ticket publishes the winning submission in the respective issue and the finalist receives a cash prize of $250.
It is free to enter the Diana Woods Memorial Award. Writers will need to submit a creative nonfiction essay, up to 5K words, on any topic or theme that interests them. Submissions must be original and never published. The judges will also consider submissions for possible publication in Lunch Ticket.
Current Deadline: August 31, 2017.
Next Deadline: February 28, 2018.
