The Blue Route, a bi-annual online literary journal published by Widener University, has reopened its reading period to accept prose and poetry from undergraduate students at other colleges and universities in the U.S. The last issue featured writers from Emory University, Flagler College, Missouri Western State University, Stephen F. Austin State University, and Tusculum University.
Sierra Offutt, the publication’s Editor-in-Chief, and staff accepts fiction/creative non-fiction (up to 3K words), and poetry (up to 3 poems per submission).
The journal publishes artistic literary works related to present-day life from the writer’s viewpoint. Writers can read the current issue for free at the website.
Token Payment: The Blue Route now pays $25/prose or poetry*, issued upon publication, for First Serial Rights and Digital Rights.
