Anthology - Call for Submissions

C.H.U.D. Tribute Anthology Calls for Horror Stories Based on the Movie – Pays up to $300/story

Crystal Lake Publishing, a publisher of dark, twisted fiction novels, is inviting writers to contribute horror stories to the forthcoming C.H.U.D. Tribute Anthology.

To be released next year, the anthology will pay homage to the classic 1984 horror movie. Guest editor Eric S. Brown welcomes stories set before the movie, after it, or preceding it, but writers must not restyle or modify the events of the movie.

Gore and violence are okay to use, but overall stories must be suspenseful and driven by memorable characters–just like the movie.

Word length: 3K-10K words per story.

Payment: 3 cents/word. Submit original, unpublished work only.

Deadline: January 31, 2017. Read submission guidelines at Crystal Lake Publishing’s website.
