Bleeding Heart Publications (BHP), a new international English-language press, plans to open submissions to unsolicited manuscripts from new and previously-published authors in the U.S. starting Sunday, November 30th.
Co-owners Gordon Ross and Cali Dawson will be seeking diverse writing styles and perspectives in full-length and short-form fiction and creative nonfiction.
Currently, the company is launching in the U.S. with four books written by talented authors, which will be released in 2015. In addition to publishing books, Bleeding Heart also publishes a bi-annual literary journal called Transfusion. The journal showcases short stories, each running no more than 5K words.
As a modern-day publishing company with a traditional approach, BHP intends to foster and support talented U.S. writers while using today’s technologies and social media platforms to aggressively publicize their authors and books. The company has partnered with Green Leaf Books (Austin, TX) for book production and distribution.
