Barrelhouse, which publishes a biannual literary journal and whose stories have appeared in the Best American Nonrequired Reading, is reviewing poetry submissions until April 30, 2017 for its next print issue.
The editors are not accepting nonfiction at this time–only poetry. Writers are invited to submit up to five poems related to pop culture. Because the subject can be broadly represented, writers have the freedom to choose their own sub-topic.
Line count: open.
Payment: $50 per per poem or collection published in the print edition, plus two contributor’s copies. (Barrelhouse does not pay for the online edition.)
Deadline: April 30, 2017. Submit your poetry here
