Creative writers are welcome to submit to Agnes and True (est. 2015), a Canadian literary ezine showcasing the works of emerging and experienced Canadian writers. Although the journal is Canadian based, the editors do accept submissions worldwide, but works of fiction should manifest a Canadian perceptiveness.
The online journal, published by The Trojan Horse Press, Inc., commemorates the accomplishments and triumphs of women. Additionally, the editors want to discover and publish the work of aspiring older writers, male and female.
Editor-in-Chief Katherine A. Cook and staff are seeking high-quality short fiction, specifically workplace stories, travel tales, enlightening stories about friendships and family, and narratives that emphasize the political side of the personal. They also welcome speculative fiction and its sub-genres.
Currently, Agnes and True publishes on story per month with the goal of publishing more frequently.
Word length: 500-10K per story.
Payment: flat rate of $75 (CAD) per story. Authors retain copyrights to their material.
