Wordrunner eChapbooks (est. 2008) has opened a new reading period to curate a collection of literary works to appear in the digital Spring 2017 Anthology e-chapbook series.

The theme for the 2017 anthology is “breaking barriers” or “pushing against boundaries.” Writers may submit fiction, nonfiction, or poetry interpreting the theme.

(Fiction can be contemporary or historical, but not genre fiction.) The editor wants works to show emotional complexity.

Word length: 1K-5K words per prose piece (short story, essay, novel/memoir excerpt); or up to three poems (open line count).

Token Payment: $100 for collections, $5 to $25 for poems, stories and essays.

The anthology will be available in March 2017.

Deadline: January 31, 2017. Read submission guidelines at Wordrunner eChapbooks.
