The Fantasist eZine Calls for Novella-Size Fantasy Stories – Pays $100/story

The Fantasist, a new online quarterly magazine of novella-length fantasy stories, is inviting writers to submit stories for the third issue.

The purpose of The Fantasist is to widen the classification of fantasy, to strengthen and interweave the discussion around speculative fiction, and to amplify the role of fantasy within that discussion.

The publisher plans to publish three original fantasy novellas the third Thursday of every third month starting this month.

The editors enjoy stories embedded in a thoughtfully-researched historical backdrop, taking place in the present or future, featuring magic interplaying with science.

Suggested word length: 15K-40K words per story.

Token payment: $50/story. Now paying $100/story.
