Freelance Writers Invited to Write for Activities Guide of Maine magazine – Pays up to $400/article

Activities Guide of Maine, a bi-annual glossy magazine spotlighting regional outdoor activities, is open for submissions. Freelance writers are invited to submit colorful stories that expose readers to new experiences and adventures, especially communities and tourist-favorite spots that offer plenty of engaging recreational activities. The editors also like to receive how-to articles, travel and gear guides, reviews of destinations and equipment, coverage of outdoor events, etc.

The publisher also produces RaceME, an annual publication that covers competitive racing in Maine. Freelance writers are welcome to submit articles about nutrition and training, race events and charities, humorous and inspiring running stories, gear reviews, and athlete interviews.

Word length: up to 1K words for feature articles; 350-750 words for shorter pieces.

Payment: $250-$400 per feature article; $100 per story or short article.
